The superior casting performance and ultimate casting ease of the Sol all stem from Daiwa's revolutionary TWS and SV spool. The TWS line guide system delivers unparalleled casting performance and line control. It achieves this by reducing line noise and friction unlike any traditional line guide systems. On top of this, it also adds improved reel stability and balance. The T-shaped line guide pivots forward and back between the cast and retrieve position for simplicity and ease. It also allows for efficient, easy casting every time, and with unrivalled distance and ease.
SV concept with its lightweight spool and high precision design improves spool rotation. SV spool braking power automatically adjusts depending on lure weight. On the other hand, TWS advantage is the friction free levelwind that allows for the smooth release of line.
Backlashes occur when the line does not release through a normal line guide fast enough while the spool is rotating. These backlashing problems were drastically reduced by the SV braking system, as well as the friction free levelwind of the TWS. The ideal setting of the spool braking system is not too tight and not too loose
